A medical office has two kinds of space. Waiting rooms, restrooms and break rooms are cleaned like any busy office, only more often. Exam and procedure rooms follow your clinical protocol, and there we take our direction from you.
Clinical and non-clinical areas
In waiting rooms, reception, restrooms and offices, we clean and disinfect on a daily schedule. In exam and procedure rooms, we clean floors, counters, sinks and non-sterile surfaces with the products and steps your practice specifies. We walk each room with your office manager, so the checklist matches how you actually turn rooms over between patients.
What stays with your staff
Regulated medical waste, sharps containers, specimens and anything connected to sterile processing stay with your clinical team or your licensed waste vendor. We don't handle those, and we leave sharps boxes and biohazard bins where they are.
Patient privacy
We don't open charts, move paperwork or touch computers. The crew works around screens and files. If your practice asks vendors to sign a confidentiality agreement, we'll review it and sign. Keys, fobs and alarm codes are logged against named crew members.
Products and cross-contamination
We use EPA-registered disinfectants and follow label contact times. Color-coded cloths and mop heads keep the ones used in restrooms away from reception desks and exam counters. If your protocol calls for a particular product, we use that one.
Schedules that suit clinics
Most practices want daily service after the last patient leaves. Dental offices, with their busy operatories and plenty of equipment surfaces, often add a deeper weekly clean. A practice with heavy waiting-room traffic can add a day porter to check restrooms and wipe high-touch points while patients are in the building.
Questions from medical offices
Do you clean procedure rooms?
We clean floors, counters and non-sterile surfaces in procedure rooms according to your protocol. Sterile fields and anything involving sterile processing are handled by your clinical staff.
How do you train cleaners for a healthcare setting?
The crew lead goes through your protocol with each new cleaner before their first shift, covering products, contact times and the items they never touch. If your practice has its own vendor training requirements, tell us and we'll meet them.
